For most golfers there are 4 different shots to learn. The putt, the drive (ball on a tee), a small swing, as in chipping (when the golf ball sits on the ground) and the larger swing when the ball sits on the ground. Mark will help you understand the different cues that these 4 different areas of golf present.
Chris Tom
The 2019 instructional team will also feature Chris Pollard, our assistant golf professional. He has been coaching the Lebanon High Varsity Golf team for more than a decade. He will also direct our PGA Junior League team. Tom Lantz is available to coach our junior and adult beginners. Ages from 4 to 94 can benefit from our teaching team. We will ascertain your needs and goals and help you achieve and surpass those goals.
Between Chris, Tom and Mark we combine our efforts to work with the local Elementary school, Grantham Village School, to assist their PE Department in introducing golf to the 4th, 5th and 6th graders. The 4th graders come to Eastman Golf Links on a field trip. We conduct an after-school program for five weeks in the spring. We then discover which kids are interested in golf for the summer. We can then suggest private lessons, PGA Junior League and US Kids Golf events and equipment to the parents.
Adult golfers have their many options for private and group coaching, too. Short game sessions, tee shot workshops, fairway wood clinics, etc. Then they can join Ladies on the Links, CGA, encouragement clinics, Men’s League or even become a golf member to play and grow in the membership learning programs. It is a beautiful system. Don’t be bashful. Make golf a part of your life or a bigger part of your life at Eastman Golf Links.

We love to utilize technology tools too.
Have you heard about Blast Motion? It is a tiny sensor that fits securely on the top of your grip. After a putt or full swing the sensor provides data metrics that allow you to measure consistency from shot to shot. If you love tech and data Blast Motion is for you. Ask us about it in the golf shop. We can provide a demonstration at the putter section. Click here for the Blast Motion website.
How about Mevo? We have one. It is a launch monitor in a powerfully small profile. This is the tool to use to compare three drivers side by side when you want to know ball speeds, launch angles, carry distance, etc. Great stuff and easy to use on the phone with a Bluetooth app.
